A sure sign of Spring....

or General Conference weekend.

Togetherness

Last week Denise came into town due to her children being on Spring Break and wanting to go to Salt Lake, so we took a night and got together as sisters and went to dinner. We sat at our Sizzler table far longer than we probably should have, but hopefully us staying there gave our waiter a chance to catch up with his other tables since he didn't have to worry about us. We laughed and chatted and just enjoyed being all together. It had been far too long. A nice man stopped to take our photo out in the parking lot. I think he and his wife thought we were very odd friends. I wonder what they would have thought had they known we were sisters? You gotta love'em. I'm happy I got four of them!

Chocolate Lover?

I tried my hand at these last night.... so yummy. Just make sure you don't fill the cup up too high as they will overflow. I ate one right after it came out of the oven - still warm - no icing - it hit just the right spot. Give them a try!

Chocolate Fudge Jr Mint Centered Cupcakes

1 box Pillsbury Devils Food Cake Mix

4 eggs

1/2 Cup vegetable oil

1/2 Cup water

1 small box instant chocolate pudding mix

1/2 Cup sour cream

1 Cup chocolate chips

3 4 oz boxes Jr Mints (look for them on sale, I found them for $1.00)

Favorite Vanilla or Cream Cheese Frosting

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a stand or electric mixer, add the cake mix, eggs, oil, water, pudding mix, sour cream and chocolate chips. Mix on medium for 2 minutes or until well combined and somewhat thick. Scoop into 24 paper lined muffin cups. Press 3 JR mints into the center of each cupcake center. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until toothpick comes mostly clean from center. Let cool completely and frost with your favorite vanilla or cream cheese frosting.

Temple Outing

Last Friday night we got together as siblings and spouses (as many as could come) and did sealings at the Salt Lake Temple. Afterward we went back to James' house to eat Chinese food and yummy homemade Texas sheet cake (thank you Judy!). The night was so much fun. We plan to get togther at least once a quarter and spend time together doing something. Yeah!

St George Weekend

We spent a great few days in St George! We hoped to get away for a few days, relax and get kissed by the sun! We had great weather, caught up on a few movies and ate way too much food. Brick Oven, Golden Corral and Carl's Jr. are three of my new favorite places to eat. We stayed at the Abbey Inn, which also feeds you a really great full hot breakfast. Yum. We spent some time walking around the Dixie rocks... it was almost hot enough to get sweaty. Trust me, I was not complaining. The biggest bummer of the weekend was that the St George Temple was closed... but there is always another weekend:) The hotel was great, the food, the weather and the company!! My kinda weekend.

"Bee One"

Every year our Relief Society Presidency and Enrichment Committee have a dinner with the graduating Laurels in our ward and invite their mothers to join also. This year was no different except we invited all the Laurels and moms to come. It was a fun evening of yummy food and fun getting to know more about each other. I was in charge of making name cards to tell everyone where to sit. Our theme as a Presidency is to "Bee One", so that is what I went with. This was my finished project thanks to Susan and Stephanie! Yep, I know how to use a printer and a pair of scissors.

3 words 4 U... I Love You!

Don't ask me why this clip doesn't fit in the column like it should... but whether it does or not... it doesn't change how much I love this song!

Sometimes that's all that needs to be said - I love you! And I do.

from a distance...

I heard this song for the first time today. The artists name is Taylor Swift. I love the words much more than the video. It would seem for me that love will always be... from a distance.
