M'm M'm Good

I saw this recipe on Studio 5 and decided to try it out for our family BBQ on
Memorial day without really knowing how they would turn out. Needless to
say there was not a crumb left in the pan. However they were VERY stuck
in the pan. It was not easy to get a piece out, so I suggest lightly greasing
the bottom of the pan even though it does not say to do that. I also didnt
think they turned out looking like the photo below... but they were so
good! Enjoy!

Turtle Bars

Ingredients:
1 roll refrigerated sugar cookies
2 C semisweet chocolate chips
2 C pecans, chopped (optional)
2 C almonds, slivered (optional)
1/2 C butter
1/2 C brown sugar
1 jar caramel ice cream topping
1 C graham cracker crumbs (16 squares)

Method:
1 - Preheat oven to 350 F (325 for dark or nonstick pans).

Press cookie dough evenly in bottom of ungreased 9x13 inch pan
2. Sprinkle 1 C of the chocolate chips, 1 C Pecans, 1 C almonds over
dough; lightly press into dough. Set aside
3. In a medium size sauce-pan, melt butter over medium-high
heat. Stir in brown sugar, caramel topping and graham cracker
crumbs. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Pour over crust in
pan; spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips
and pecans.
4. Bake 25-30 minutes or until edges are a deep golden brown and
pecans are lightly toasted. Cool on a cooling rack 30 minutes;
loosen sides from pan, but do not cut. Cool completely, about 3
hours longer.

Reba, these look so yummy! :D You're such a beautiful lady. It's so nice to get to know a little part of you by looking through your blog. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying Bountiful. Love you! :D

3 words 4 U... I Love You!

Don't ask me why this clip doesn't fit in the column like it should... but whether it does or not... it doesn't change how much I love this song!

Sometimes that's all that needs to be said - I love you! And I do.

from a distance...

I heard this song for the first time today. The artists name is Taylor Swift. I love the words much more than the video. It would seem for me that love will always be... from a distance.
